William Emrich played tennis from early childhood through young adulthood in Connecticut where he won championships, and eventually in Venezuela, where he was a hotel pro. William graduated in 1969 from Tufts University, then served in Vietnam in the 1970s.

William fulfilled his lifelong dream of owning a cabin in the Maine wilderness, fishing, living off the grid, and viewing Maine’s wildlife in its natural habitat.
